Description
This is a Top Loader 4 Speed, Close Ratio with a 2.32 1st gear. Has the big 1 3/8" 10 splined input and the 31 splined output.The Metal Tag RUG-AU 010354
1970 429 Fairlane
Has been Completely Rebuilt from front to back. Has a new 2nd gear, and a new 3rd Gear. Has been disassembled, cleaned, inspected and re assembled with new wear items as needed. New syncro ring and bearing kit, all new seals & gaskets, small parts kit, key & spring kits and more. This transmission has gorgeous engagement teeth. Has the Dual bolt pattern for mounting to the bell housing.
Please look at the tail housing to be sure it is correct for your shifter location. Before this transmission made its way to us, someone ground off the casting number on the tail housing, won't affect the performance in any way. The casting number below is correct.
