    Description

    Late 1940's Childs Dish Ambassador ware Bluebell Fairy
    Approx. 7¾" diameter at bottom - 1½" tall - weighs 1 lb. 10.6 oz
    These dishes was made by Ambassador Ware in England and distributed in the United States by the Fondeville and Co., which was located in New York. Fondeville and Co. was founded by Eugene L. Fondeville around 1942. They were the distributor for Laurelton, Ambassador and Embassy wares. Ambassador Ware was made by Soho Potteries in Staffordshire, England. Soho Potteries were founded in 1901 and they were bought by American stoneware manufacturer, Pflatzgraff and Co.
    There is a chip on the inside (last photo), some crazing and some antique wear on the pink and blue rings.
