Description
The South Africa 20 Rand banknote was released in 2009 by the South African Reserve Bank. It is in brown and violet color schemes and has dimensions of 134 x 70 mm. The banknotes obverse features the coat of arms of South Africa, elephants, and a diamond switching to an atomic symbol. The reverse of the note depicts mining and a drag-line excavator in an open-pit mine. The paper bill bears a windowed security thread with a demetalized SARB 20 and a watermark that shows an elephant and an electrotype 20. It also carries the signature of the bank governor, Gill Marcus. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
