It looks great inside, no broken teeth, no burnt bearings.
The little speedo cable angle drive gear housing is broken, part of it is still there, still attached to the transmission, it does not spin when turning the shafts..
Hand spinning sounds like and feels nice and smooth.  There is still some gear oil in it, needs changing and cleaning inside.
linkage cable was hastily cut instead of unbolted so part of the actuating cable remains.
The old man doesn't remember where he got it, it was so long ago and his health and memory is deteriorating.
Rear yoke and front shaft are AOK.
Front shaft extends 6 1/2" from front case flat face.
Front shaft is 1.1400 diameter at the splines, and .600 at the pilot, narrow front tip.
Splined area including narrowed pilot tip is 2 1/2" long.
Rear U joint yolk U bolts are 1 5/8 wide, and are spread 3 3/16" apart.
the rear shaft is 1 3/4" diameter.
main Tranny body is 8 7/8" long
Front case plate (mounting surface) is 8 1/2" wide longest dimension at the bolt flanges.
The mounting bolt flanges are spread vertically by  4 1/2" center to center.
The top bolt holes of the front mounting plate or case are spread laterally 7 3/4" center to center.
15 inches tall incl the top fork switching shaft.
It is a 3 speed with low geared reverse,
The side shaft slides the forks, the top shaft switches from one internal fork to another.
The shafts snap firmly into their spring ball positioning notches.
